The service for the replacement of the base trim for the K5 and K5 S helmets is dedicated to all those who need this type of service performed by our professional technicians and craftspeople.
The cost of the service includes a charge for return shipping expenses, inspection, repair and sanitization of the product (Dainese Policy).
Dainese - AGV reserves the right to check the overall condition of the helmet returned, rejecting any other repairs when it is not technically possible to proceed; or in case of over-dated helmets ( generally helmets purchased more than 5 years ago; evidence is the purchase receipt/registration on the AGV website); or in cases where the safety of the garment has been compromised by use over time and any damage present, so that repair will not allow safety to be restored. Should further repairs be required, Dainese - AGV will propose a detailed cost estimate for approval.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Once Dainese - AGV has seen the service request for the replacement of the base trim for the K5 and K5 S helmets via order received on our agv.com website, the Dainese - AGV Consumer Care Team will contact the customer and provide them with the label for a courier in order to send the helmet to the Dainese - AGV After Sales center in the historic headquarters in Colceresa (Italy).

Our Repair Services include a series of completely manual procedures, carried out by our specialized in-house staff. The helmets are sanitized and then receive a thorough inspection. The damaged/worn part is removed and replaced with a new, original one, in compliance with the original points of workmanship and restoring the initial conditions of the helmet. This is followed by the finishing work and preparation for shipment.

On average, the helmet will be sent back to the customer within two working weeks, except in the case of seasonal peaks or close to scheduled closures, in which case it may take longer to manage the process. But if the helmet requires other interventions, in addition to the service for the replacement of the base trim for the K5 and K5 S helmets, the overall time may increase.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Helmets must be returned completely clean. Otherwise Dainese - AGV will charge additional cleaning and hygiene costs in order to proceed with the repair. In the course of the helmet inspection, Dainese - AGV will indicate any states/conditions that may make processing the service difficult and/or risky and/or incomplete.

Dainese - AGV does not carry out any type of work on helmets that have been damaged, crashed and/or tampered with or that do not have a type-approval label (ECE Standard).

Should more than one repair service be purchased for the same helmet, there will in any case be no refund of the charge for shipping expenses.

Only after receiving the helmet will our technicians be able to determine whether the service requested can effectively be carried out. Should the helmet be too damaged to repair, Dainese - AGV reserves the right not to perform the requested repair and return the helmet to the customer. A partial refund will be issued, as Dainese - AGV will withhold the charge for shipping expenses.
