VALENTINO ROSSI DEDICATES HIS HELMET TO THE “MUGIALLO” CIRCUIT AND TO ALL HIS FANS

Yellow at… Mugello! No, it isn’t the title of a thriller, it’s a clue for the theme of Valentino’s traditional tribute to fans at the Italian Grand Prix. During this morning’s qualifying rounds at Mugello, Rossi showed up wearing his AGV Pista GP helmet that was decorated with a special graphic.

This time the theme is the Italian race weekend itself at Mugello, or rather…Mugiallo! With a play on words that blends the name of the circuit with the neon color of the helmet (giallo or yellow ), The Doctor from Travullia has dedicated the latest graphic on his AGV Pista GP to the hordes of fans that crowd the track.

The track is depicted on the upper part of the helmet, with the shield from the AGV logo intersecting it. This distinctive shield has been a part of Valentino’s incredible career for more than 20 years now. The word “Mugiallo” encircles the head of the rider along the entire helmet circumference, intersecting the number 46 on top of the rear spoiler. On the nape are the rider’s adored dogs, Cesare and Cecilia, and his beloved red cat, Rossano. Finally, on the chin guard The Doctor celebrates his home country and his fans with the Italian tricolor flag.

AGV Pista GP is a full carbon helmet specifically designed for racing use and is the perfect combination of protection, performance and comfort. The Pista GP is the result of the AGV Extreme Standards, an innovative and pioneering integrated design protocol that revolutionizes the design method and enables making measurable and demonstrable improvements to the helmet performance in terms of impact protection, field of vision, compact design, weight reduction, aerodynamics, ventilation and ergonomics. The innovative AGV Extreme Standards process raises the level of technology in helmet R&D and is another milestone in head protection systems.
