This weekend Dainese and AGV supported Pol Espargaró was crowned the 2013 Moto2 World Champion at the Twin Ring Motegi, Japan, in the penultimate round of the season.

Going into the Japanese Grand Prix Espargaró held the championship lead over title rival Scott Redding by just 16-points. Redding had held the title lead for most of the season, with Espargaró hot on the young-Brit's heels just a few points behind.

In Australia for round-16 of the championship, Redding broke his wrist in a qualifying accident and was unable to take-part in the race, which left Espargaró in the perfect position to score valuable season points and take the title lead going into the penultimate round.

Redding fought hard to be able to ride in Japan and reclaim his lead over Espargaró but after an opening lap crash, which saw the race red-flagged and the young-Brit's bike damaged, Redding was unable to re-start the shortened 15-lap race.

Taking the win in Japan gave Espargaró an uncatchable championship point advantage and the Moto2 title crown after an exciting season battling with Scott Redding, which saw the new Moto2 champion win six races.

Over the season Dainese and AGV worked hard with Espargaró, who wore the D-air ® Racing suit and the Pista GP full carbon helmet.

Dainese and AGV would like to congratulate Espargaró for a fantastic season and becoming the 2013 Moto2 World Champion.

Well done Pol!
