Qatar 2010: Valentino and AGV Start The Season Right!

Fans of Valentino Rossi wearing his GP-Tech Five continents and Jorge Lorenzo watched a great race by the two Yamaha riders in Doha! Although it's a track where Casey Stoner usually has the advantage,
and despite a seeming lack of power, both Valentino and Jorge were flawless, crossing the finish line in first and second.

Stoner received no points for his performance, instead
making a crushing mistake after dominating the race. Nobody beat Stoner but himself, and while he said his front end slipped while he was slowing down, his lap times don’t agree with that excuse. Not the first time this has happened, Stoner will nonetheless be very interesting to watch this season.

Rossi has the slowest bike in the lineup (reaching 316 kph just once) and he finished the race almost out of fuel, but in spite of constant pressure by Dovizioso, Hayden and Lorenzo, he never lost his concentration and showed once again why he is World Champion.
It’s possible this 31-year-old has no intention of stopping at nine world titles. This was his
104th career race win.

And how did you like the first Moto2 race? It’s already exciting and will only get better once the riders sort out their bikes. Forty starters! This kind of energy is just what the World Championship needs.
