AGV rider, Gautier Paulin, has claimed another Supercross podium, this time at the Geneva Supercross held at the Pal Expo center in the heart of Geneva, Switzerland.
Paulin’s first night almost ended in disaster when he was taken down in the final by another rider however he quickly remounted and pushed from the back to finish 8th with American Justin Brayton taking honours over fellow countryman Marvin Musquin.
Saturday night saw a sell-out crowd pack the exposition center where a three way battle would ensue. Brayton took over the lead fromfast starter, Eric Sorby, while Paulin and Musquin had to come through the pack. Paulin moved into second after a great move on Greg Aranda but then came under pressure from Musquin who had a better line on the timing whoop section. Musquin snuck through on the whoops and Paulin gave chase as they hit a gaggle of back markers. Brayton secured the win with Musquin and Paulin following in a great race to the checkered flag.
“I’ve really enjoyed racing Supercross again,” smiled Paulin. It was unfortunate about the incident on Friday night with another rider but I managed to keep calm and finish the race. Saturday was great and I improved every time I went onto the track. Marvin and Justin were really fast and it was great to race against them. The crowd was amazing and I am really happy to be on the podiummy first Supercross in Geneva”
