The new track, 400 km from Moscow sees yet another good performance from the Official Kawasaki rider Semigorje (Russia), 22 July 2012
Gautier Paulin continues his series of finishes in the top ten and took 7th place overall in the MX1 class. The new track, that was a mixture of clay and hard soil saw the AGV rider start from 8th position following muddy qualifying conditions that are by now almost standard issue this season. Luckily, the sun came out on race day to the delight of the 45.000 spectators and made the races even more thrilling and hard fought. In the first race, Paulin found himself at the back of the pack after coming into contact with his team mate Xavier Boog at the starting gate. He found good pace in the first two laps that brought him back up to 6th place where he stayed for five more laps before being passed by the Russian rider Evgeny Bobryshev and eventually crossed the line in 7th. Again in the second race, he had early contact with the Scot Shaun Simpson and had to fight his way back up to the 7th place that he took at the chequered flag. At the end of the day, he remains in 4th place overall in the Championship.
